I have always had a dog or cat since leaving home when I was younger. However we just didnt feel ready to get another pet once we no longer had our beloved dog Mocha and cat Mooks.

So when a friend asked me to care for her dog while she works a few days a week we said yes and love having him. Then her friend asked if we could do the same when she went away, and so on and so on. Since then word of mouth has spread, and we decided we were having so much fun we would continue to let people know we were available to help with their small dogs and other animals.

 It's such a joy to meet them all and get to know their personalities. 

Mark, Mum (an ex SPCA officer) and I are home all day, so have lots of time to give cuddles and attention. We keep the number staying low and take each dogs personality into consideration. We have a lovely semi rural property with wildlife to watch, and a small lake to walk around. They are welcome to sit on our couches and can sleep on our bed if they wish. We do everything we can to make sure they don't pine while they are with us.
