About Brooke
Hey I'm Brooke!
I am a newly qualified veterinary nurse. I absolutely love animals, as you could guess by my career choice and I simply love to spend time with all sorts of pets as often as I can. The most common pets I spend time with are cats and dogs!
I would describe myself as honest, respectful, energetic and trustworthy! I am passionate about everything I do and always put 110% into my tasks.
I am available to help with dog walking, pet sitting and housesitting and I am happy to do home visits to pets multiple times a day. I am able to pick pets up and drop them back off home! I am able to administer medications that pets require while in my care.
Originally I am from Oamaru and I moved to Christchurch in February 2022 to begin my course. I have been in the veterinary industry for 6 years and I have a lot of experience with pet sitting and looking after animals in general. In High School I began working at the Vetlife Oamaru clinic where I worked hours after school for 4 years and in December 2022 I began working casually at the Vetent Canterbury clinics where I worked 1-2 days per week during my study. I now work full time and my hours are often 8-5 Monday to Friday.
Growing up my family pets included cats, rabbits and dogs, aswell as a small number of pet lambs each year which strongly encouraged my love of animals. Not being able to have my own pets in Christchurch yet has lead me to pet sitting where I have the chance to dog walk and look after other peoples pets.
I am located in Riccarton in Christchurch and am happy to travel in all sorts of places in the Canterbury area. I often walk around Hagley park, Bottle lake forest, Victoria park and the Sumner esplanade, as well as other random parks so I am very easy going with where the dog walk may be if the owner has a request.
With working full time I am available to petsit for pets who are used to being left at home during the day or drop in visits both in the morning or afternoon during the week.

I couldn’t recommend Brooke highly enough for house and pet sitting. Brooke spent the weekend with our young border collie and was amazing at meeting his high energy needs, taking him to the beach and park. We came home to a very happy and settled pup and a tidy house. Brooke was great with regular communication and photo updates and really good with understanding and respecting the training we’ve been working on with our dog. Will definitely book with Brooke again!
Brooke was fabulous with my Mr Smokes 🐈⬛ who required two types of medication and can be a bit aloof and fussy. She won him over and he wasn’t at all concerned that I was away. Brooke’s communication was awesome, it gave me peace of mind receiving photos of my boy while I was away. She was cool with my mountains of details about caring for Mr Smokes and did a great job. Will definitely book again.
