I am a cat lover, and along with my husband, we adore our 4 cats: Puffin, Marmite, Flat White, and Mocha. We have had Puffin and Marmite for 7 years, and in 2022, we rescued Flat White and Mocha (along with their mum Chai, who was rehomed). Chai, Flat White, and Mocha turned up in our garden in the middle of winter, and lived under our deck. At that time, Flat White and Mocha were an estimated 8 to 10 weeks old. We fed them, created a little shelter (complete with hot water bottle!), and introduced them to various toys. At first, they were very scared and timid. However, they gradually became socialised to humans. They all had cat flu, but after treatment, that is mostly resolved now (Mocha has ongoing symptoms of cat flu but this is well managed with our vets). Chai went to her new home, but we couldn't part with the kittens, so they became a permanent part of our family.

Over the years, we have had to deal with various cat predicaments (including a cat that moved into our garage and refused to leave!). Most recently, Flat White required significant surgery that involved medication and physio exercises in the post-recovery stage (and now ongoing treatment for arthritis). So I am well-equipped to administer medications and attend to any emergencies that arise, as well as providing day-to-day love and care to any cats who need a petsitter whilst their families are away.

My services include:

House visits

I will visit your home for half an hour each day (or twice daily if requested) to spend time with your cats, feed, water, and clean their litter, assess their wellbeing, and water houseplants/your garden. If I have any concerns about your cat's well-being (i.e. stressed, not eating, vomiting), I will contact you immediately. 

The price includes up to 3 cats (I charge $5 for each additional pet per visit). I am happy to bring in mail and water plants. Weekend visits are flexible at mutually agreed times. Weekday visits can take place between 6am and 7am or in the evenings after 6pm, however, please get in touch to discuss your needs. I am happy to work something out that gives you peace of mind. 

I can administer medication to your cats if required, and am happy to groom them if they enjoy that. I would also give them lots of cuddles (again, if they like that :), and play with them or just generally spend time near them. I understand that every cat is different, so please let me know your cat's personality, likes and dislikes, and a little bit about their history. 

If the worst-case scenario occurred, and your cat was injured or sick, I would let you know immediately and take them to either your vet, my local vet, or the after-hours clinic in Disraeli Street. 

I have recently had a baby and so wanted to do something that worked around my family, and cat-sitting is a great fit for me! I would be honoured to look after your cats and ensure that they are happy and safe whilst you are away from home.
