Hi, my name is Syntyche, (pronounced Sin-Ta-Shay) or Che for short, and im 37 years old. I live at my Matamata home (we’re the homeowners) with my husband, Drew, and our Dachshund, Sasiska (7yo). We both usually work from home - which is great because we can spend more time with any dogs who board with us. Dogs in our care will never be left unattended for more than a couple of hours at a time, and when inquiring for a booking, I’ll let you know exactly when/if that will happen.
Growing up we had two Dalmatians, a Labrador cross, Foxy’s, Staffy’s, an English Bull Terrier, Poodles and a Shitzhu Maltese cross. Since then I’ve been around any dog that I can. My sister has a Staffy/Rhodesian Ridgeback cross who is a very lovable and entertaining dog. My grandparents have had Toy Poodles, Griffins, and Chihuahuas - so I have experience with dogs of all breeds and sizes.
We have a good sized yard which has a large fence all the way around the property. It’s fully dog proofed so rest assured, your dog will be safe and secure. We also have a cat door which most smaller dogs can use - most visiting dogs watch Sasiska use it and they pick it up pretty quickly. If not, we can leave a door open since we’re usually home anyway. We also have a sheltered area to protect from sun and rain. During the day your pet can have full access to our house or be outside if they prefer. At night, Sasiska sleeps in her crate in our bedroom. We’d like to make your pet feel like this is their home too, so we are open to catering to your pets sleeping routine. Eg. We have some sleep in the room with us, in the lounge (if they’re in a crate), bathroom or garage. We usually have a limit of two dogs staying to make sure they’re well taken care of, but we can make exceptions depending on the circumstances. Feel free to inquire.
All dogs that board with us need to be toilet trained and be fully vaccinated to ensure the safety of all who stay. We never tie dogs up or leave them in a crate unless that’s part of the routine you have them in eg. During the night or if that’s what you do when you leave the house. The price for overnight stay is for a 24hr period so if your dog is being dropped off at 3pm, pick up time on the last day should be by 3pm. No problem if you need to adjust the times, just message and we can arrange it all. We’re very flexible with drop offs/pick up times so feel free to send an inquiry and ask any questions I haven’t answered here.
At this time I only take bookings for dog boarding at my home, and don’t take bookings for daycare, home visits or dog walking - but if you have special circumstances feel feel to get in touch and we may be able to arrange something.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
