Growing up, my family had one cat and one dog (both of these pets have now been put down due to old age). Buddy was a friendly Jack Russel cross Fox Terrier who would love food, walks, and attention, no matter who it was from! We lived 5 minutes walking distance from the beach, so I would walk the dog down to and run around and play with him. I like to keep active, as I play hockey during the winter months, so if it is a dog you need walking, no problem!
I am an animal lover, as I wanted to become a vet from about the age of 8. After changing my mind on that at university, I completed Bachelor of Science majoring in Zoology at University, and also took animal-based papers for my electives.
This has now led me to adopting my own little kitty, Arty. We managed to catch him and he is settling into his new home well. He is a little skeptical with strangers, which is understandable being feral, but once he is used to you, it can be unlimited play and snuggles.
Like I have said, we now have Arty in my house, and seeing as he is still settling in I cannot offer petcare at my house but am happy to venture to you. Moving from the North Island, I know spending time with animals will help to keep me grounded, they always seem to know what is going on! And meeting pet owners is a great way to increase my feeling of community when I am away from home.
If you think your pet and I will get along, please send me a request and I look forward to meeting you and your animal pal!
