I'm a 25-year-old Neuroscience PhD student at the University of Otago. I've lived in Dunedin for six years now and know the city well.
My father is a vet so I have grown up caring for animals. As a kid, we had cats, dogs, sheep, cows, ducks, and even hedgehogs for a short time. This was so much fun and instilled a love for animals in me. Also, as a teenager, I would help out in the vet clinic and have great knowledge of animal health care.
At my previous flat, we often did fostering for Dunedin Dog Rescue and so have dealt with many dogs going through hardship. I think this equips me well for dogs that may be anxious or scared around new people. I have missed some animal love since flatting, so I would love to spend time with your loved ones!
I have a vehicle and am happy to take the animal on walks (5 kms +). I can also easily come to homes outside the city centre for extra cost. I am available most days as I am a postgraduate student and my work schedule is flexible. I can administer medications through my training for working in vet clinics. I can stay with dogs for 30 minutes + and give them cuddles/ walks for home visits.
Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!
Lily

I’m so glad I found Lily to look after my dog Lucky who can get very anxious with any changes, so I don’t want to board her. Lily house sat and I wouldn’t have known she had been there if she hadn’t washed and dried the sheets! Lucky was so calm and relaxed when I got home, I’m not sure she even missed me because she had such a great time with Lily. My shy cat also made an appearance around her. I highly recommend Lily to look after your furry friends.
Lily was organised, proactive, friendly and very caring.
Thank you Lily!
