Hi, I’m Elysia!
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up on a small farm surrounded by horses, dogs, cats, chickens—and over time adopted abandoned rabbits, geese, ducks, and even a possum! Caring for animals comes naturally to me, and I take their wellbeing seriously while making sure they’re happy and comfortable.

I live with my partner Jay, our two children (11 and 4), and our dog Mazey—a rescue pup who now lives her best life roaming the neighbouring farm, playing on the beach, and having regular doggy playdates. Our whole family loves animals and the outdoors, and my kids have been asking to help with dog sitting, so we thought—why not share our space and love with others?

We’ve hosted dogs for playdates, overnight stays, and casual care, and we really enjoy having different furry personalities around. I work in film from home and Jay has a flexible job, so there’s almost always someone around to make sure the dogs are happy and safe. We also have friendly neighbours who keep an eye out for our animals.

We live in Maketu in an amazing neighbourhood, our property is fully fenced and secure, with lots of space for dogs to run and explore. We can accommodate dogs overnight inside our home, and are happy to administer medication if needed. We take Mazey out for two walks a day—anywhere from 20 minutes to a couple of hours—on the beach or farm, and your dog (if able) would join in on those adventures too.

We’re currently set up to host one dog for overnight stays (alongside Mazey), but we’re happy to welcome two dogs during the day for doggy daycare. All visiting dogs must be vaccinated.
