Hello and Talofa lava! I’m Halima — a caring, reliable, and experienced pet sitter based in Wellington.

I’m a lifelong animal lover, originally from South Auckland, now living in Thorndon, but I’ve spent most of my life in the southern suburbs, which feel like home. Growing up with cats, kittens, and even the occasional bird has given me a deep, nurturing connection to animals. Over the years, I’ve continued to support animals by:

• Sponsoring orphaned elephants via Sheldrick Wildlife Trust 🐘
• Supporting local animal opshops & SPCA Wellington
• Creating enrichment toys from recycled materials

Current Availability (now – 31 Dec 2025):

I’m currently available for day visits/check-ins and dog walking between now and 31 December 2025. I have experience caring for cats, dogs, and other animals — including elderly or anxious pets. I’m tidy, respectful, and treat every home as if it were my own. Since I don’t have my own transport, I prioritize bookings for homes near public bus routes or within walking distance. 

🐶🐈🦎 What I Offer

Daily Visits (25–30 mins):

• Feeding and fresh water
• Playtime, enrichment, and cuddles (based on your pet’s preferences)
• Litter cleaning or toilet breaks
• Photo and message updates
• Basic plant watering, mail collection, curtain/lights adjustment
• Garden weeding or rubbish put-out (on request)

Dog Walking:

• Available for small and medium-sized dogs
• I walk one dog at a time only — I do not take multiple dogs on a single walk.
• For day visits/check-ins, dog walking is a separate service
• For overnight stays (from 1 Jan 2026), dog walking is included in the overnight sitting fee 

Overnight Stays (available from 1 Jan 2026 onwards):

• Overnight companionship for pets and home security
• Feeding, cuddles, enrichment, and dog walks included
• Ideal for longer trips or pets needing steady care
