Hello pawrents and thanks for checking out my profile!

A little about me...

I'm Amy, I'm from the UK, i'm 30yo, I moved to New Zealand just over 1year ago and i'm missing my pets back home!

I am super keen to be involved in the world of pet sitting so I can get my weekly furry friend dose, nothing makes me happier than even the sight of a fur child, let alone cuddles!

I'm a creative, open minded, easy going kinda gal.

I love countryside walks and being outside amongst nature.

My little dream is to have a dog of my own as soon as living/work situation allows.

My big dream is to one day own a self sufficient small holding, with as many animals as I can possibly look after with my partner.

I currently work part-time, on Sundays, Mondays, (most)Tuesdays and Fridays. I am available Wednesday/Thursday and Saturdays.

My pawrenting experiences...

I have lived with dogs my whole life - first a Black Laborador called Josh (the goodest boy of all time), he was my first childhood dog and an absolute gem, I have a soft spot for Labs!

I then had my own rabbit who I inventively named 'Spot' (he was all black with a white nose) who had free rein of our garage along with my sisters rabbit 'Fluffy', we looked after the happy bunnies for many years.

Then came 'Finley' a boistrous German Short Haired Pointer, who we rehomed from a local falconry centre as a gorgeous puppy, he is now well trained to the whistle and hand signals. He is constantly spoilt, is a big softie and I miss him alot.

A pet Harris Hawk is also amongst the list of pets I have lived with, she 'Rizzo' (yes from Grease the movie, fiesty!) as you can imagine, needed specific care and attention, feed and exercise.

I also have experience caring for horses, I spent alot of time in my youth helping my best friend look after hers at her stables. I love horses and would be keen to get back in the saddle & stable!

What you can expect from me...

Whilst travelling I dearly miss living with my family pets and would take so much joy in helping look after yours.

Giving them plenty of affection whilst taking responsibility of them and making sure they come back to you happy, suitably exercised and in one piece!

I am caring, compassionate, loving and attentive.

I understand that your pets are very important to you, so I take pet sitting very seriously.

I will be very respectful of your home should I need to visit, it will be left exactly as I found it.

I am more than happy to send updates on how your pet is doing whilst in my care.

If your pet has any specific needs/requirements I am happy to accomodate those.

I love all dogs and cats (any animal) no matter their breed, size or temperament and am happy to cater to their specific needs.

Trust me to look after your fur children just as you would.

I have experience volunteering with the SPCA, helping out with their mature dogs and gorgeous puppies.

My services...

Dog walks.

Whether thats one or two per day. Walks will be around 45mins.

I have my own transport so am happy to pick your dog up and take them for a fun walk (if they travel well) otherwise I am happy to walk in your neighourhood where your dog will feel comfortable.

Dog Sitting.

I can come to your place to look after your dog whilst you're out, maybe they need someone to keep them company, keep them out of trouble, to play with and make sure they're fed and watered. I can pop in or spend a bit of time with them.

Day Care

If your doggo/catto fair well with new environments I am happy to have them at my place during the day, I live in a lovely house in Auckland Central, its super easy to get to if you're dropping off, alternatively I can collect/drop off. I have a large garden that pets are safe to play in as well as plenty of lovely walks/dog parks nearby.

Cat sitting.

I am happy to look after and keep your cat company in your home, or if you simply want me to check up on them, fill their food/water up thats ok too.

Rabbit/Guinea pig/Hamster/Pet Rat/Pet Mouse sitting.

Happy to sit or check up on all of these furiends too. I know the little ones take as much looking after as the big ones!

Horse-y help.

If you're short on hands (excuse the pun) for looking after your pony or need help exercising them let me know, i'd love to get involved.

My place...

A brief description - old, bungalow cottage. Pet will be allowed in communal areas i.e. large open-plan sitting room, dining area and kitchen. Large grassy back garden and shaded deck area (will not be allowed in front garden), fully secure, fenced and safe. I have three housemates including my partner and another couple, all of whom are previously experienced pet owners/lovers and very friendly!
