Hi 👋 We are experienced house & pet sitters and very considerate carers of home and inhabitants, 15 years in on our journey together.

Joshua grew up on a farm on Great Barrier Island and Caz has worked with Lonely Meow rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming cats, including our two beloved, late cats: Mushroom and Simon.

Between the two of us we have a wide range of experience caring for animals of all shapes and sizes including: dog walking, farm-sitting; caring for cats, dogs, goats, cows, chickens and horses; feeding, minding, medicating, repairing water troughs and doing fence rescues etc; and rescuing, rehoming and releasing wild cats, birds, and a bali dog. 

We spend most of the year house and pet sitting in Wellington. Caz is an artist and ceramicist with Wellington Potters Association and Joshua is a writer and filmmaker who often works from home. Our furry friends can attest to the fact that writers make the coziest companions ;)

We love adventuring, learning and staying curious, and we enjoy making friends of both the human and 4 legged variety where ever we go. When we are settled in a home, we are quiet, contemplative, artistic people who love enjoying tranquil environments to reflect, write, enjoy good food and play guitar ...if there is one handy :)

We are very empathetic, honest and approach everything we do in life with a high level of integrity and consideration for the environment we are in, and we care deeply about the well being of animals, taking our obligations to the furry creatures of the house very seriously.

Caz and Josh have just done a three-week sit for us, and in every respect it has been superb. Smitty and Java clearly loved them - they've been looking very peeved now they are on another sit! And we are delighted with the thoughtful ways they found to look after them, two very different dogs. And the house was embarrassingly cleaner and tidier than we'd left it. We all hope to see them again.

Josh and Caz are amazing hoomans says Merckx (2 yo Lab/GSP). I was loved, fed and walked - we even went swimming most days. My family say that they could not have wished for kinder, tidier and all round good people to look after me, my mate Boonen (giant Flemish bunny) and their house and garden. When they got back from holiday I could see how thrilled they were that the house was spotless, plants well cared for, garden tidy and most important of all, us, the pets were happy. In fact we miss them so much! Our hoomans say that Josh and Caz will come back again when they go away (Boonen and I can’t wait as we got spoilt with love and attention). Seriously lovely people and talented professionals. Highly recommended.
