Kia ora! I’m Lydia — a cat-sitter based around Wellington Eastbourne, the Bays, and Lower Hutt, with 15 years in Wellington and 32 years’ experience caring for cats and kittens.

I understand how much pets are truly family, and how important it is to leave them with someone calm, attentive, and dependable. After having a wonderful Pawshake sitter care for my own two fur-babies, I decided to offer that same peace of mind to other cat parents — especially here in Eastbourne and the Bays, where reliable local care matters.

I’ve cared for cats through every stage of life — energetic kittens, foster cats, shy rescues, and elderly “grandma” cats — and I’m especially comfortable with cats who are sensitive or slow-to-warm, and need trust built gently.

If you’re heading away on holiday or travelling for work, you can count on consistent visits, steady routines, and thoughtful updates, so you can relax knowing your cat (and home) are quietly well looked after.

In-home visits include: feeding and fresh water, litter tray cleaning and tidy-up, 30-minute wellbeing/play/companionship, plus light home care (mail, plants, curtains, quick safety check).

Because I work part-time, I can offer more consistent visit times and the option of additional check-ins if needed.

I’m also available for stat days, Easter, and the full Christmas/New Year period.
