I'm Madeleine, a qualified vet nurse with over 25 years experience of working in small animal and emergency practice and also in-home pet care companies both in the UK and NZ.  

However I recently started working in a school and really miss my animal interaction, so to get my fix of furry four legged friends I am offering dog boarding on weekends and school holidays only.

Note this service is only available on weekends during term time, not weekdays.

Your dog will be staying with our family (myself, husband and three children: 14, 12, 10) and our friendly golden retriever Luna. We also have a cat Katinka, but he prefers his own company and your dog would likely not see too much of him. We have a large flat garden, with lots to explore and is fully enclosed by six foot fences.

Your dog will be treated as one of the family. They will sleep inside, either on their own bed, the dedicated 'dog sofa' or in a crate - where ever they feel most comfortable. They will receive at least one on-lead off property walk per day. The rest of the day is spent exploring the garden, playing with toys, or Luna. There are dedicated eating and resting times.  

You will be sent regular updates and photos of your pup to put your mind at rest that they are enjoying their holiday as much as you are enjoying yours.

Being a vet nurse I am confident administering all kinds of medications and caring for dogs with different health requirements.  

Due to being centrally located in a residential area, we can only accepted well socialised dogs who don't bark or dig excessively. Unfortunately we cannot accept unneutered dogs and all dogs must be vaccinated. As we also have a cat, we can only accept dogs who are cat friendly.
