I am new to Wellington and miss my large, anxious, loveable greyhound. He was a bit of a handful when we got him, and through positive reinforcement managed to change a lot of his more challenging behaviours. I work from home in Khandallah and would enjoy the chance to have a canine companion while you work in the office or while you are away. 

I am familiar with big, reactive, problem, and nervous dogs. I am familiar with the positive techniques used to manage such behaviours in public spaces. I also have experience with smaller dogs, cats, horses and farm animals (but do not have space for the latter two) 

Every dog needs to have their needs met - be that sniffing time away from other dogs or lots of time meeting other dogs, to be kept busy on a walk, or to go at their own pace. I will discuss with individual owners what best meets their dogs needs. 

When our dog came to us, he was older and recovering from an injury, it took time to build his trust and ensure that his needs were being met. Through consistent, positive, and supportive interventions we were able to build his confidence and train him. 

I think consistency is key, and know how easy it can be for a dog to learn and unlearn behaviours. I will work with owners to ensure that thier dogs positive behaviours are reenforeced. 

I love dogs, I miss my own and would like some more time with dogs.
