Hi! My name is Ruby and I am looking for the opportunity to look after animals, in their own homes, while their owners are away. I am 26.

Growing up on a farm, I have always been around animals. I was raised with dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, and cows, so am very comfortable around all kinds of animals - big and small! In addition to this, I have a large amount of experience with dog-walking and dog sitting. I am only comfortable caring for vaccinated animals, and I will only look after pets who are being well cared for in loving, safe homes (regular vet check-ups, appropriate living environment, suitable food and medicine for the animal etc.). I also have experience caring for sick, elderly and injured animals, and I know the signs of an unhappy or unwell animal. With this, I understand basic pet first aid should it be needed in an emergency.  

Since moving to Auckland, into an small, pet-free rental, I find myself longing to be around animals. That is my motivation behind this. I am wanting to look after pets in their own home to make sure they have the necessary company and interaction while their owner is out of town.
