A bit about me:

I have grown up around a variety of different animals, ranging from livestock to exotics parrots and pets, and always wanted to work with pets as a career. As a kid, I was always bringing home strays to care for- and have had now pursued my passion for caring for animals professionally.

• In 2024 I graduated from Unitec with a certificate in Animal care, specialising in canine behaviour. This certificate has opened the door to me working as a professional animal handler, and has worked in a variety of different fields throughout the past few years.

• This course covered canine first aid, husbandry, training and behaviour, and basic veterinary care. It has given me the skills and confidence to care for any animals special individual needs, and I have learnt how to a-just my handling to best suit each pets individual comforts.

• I have worked with the SPCA, which has given me lots of experience dealing with rescues and behavioural problems in dogs and cats. I have also worked with an international pet transport agency, which lead me to work with a variety of different exotic animals and pets!

• Experience with exotic pets: I have owned multiple different variety's of birds and parrots, and have a deep love for all birds. Through school, I would breed and hand-raise baby birds, and worked with some bird rescues to rehabilitate injured ducklings, and other wild birds. I have also owned rabbits, Guinea pigs, mice, and even turtles. I understand that exotic breeds need some extra speciality care, and I am confident that I have the knowledge and know how to care for exotic pets.

I currently work with at a luxury doggy daycare and boarding facility, which is a job I throughly enjoy. It is hands on work with pets every day, and it has truly helped me to develop my confidence and skills in handling all types of dogs.

As you can see, I have always had a passion and an affinity with animals. I currently own my own dogs, and have a real soft spot for rescue. I would love the opportunity to look after your beloved fur babies, and understand how difficult it can be to find someone that you are comfortable leaving your pets with.
