April 2925 update: we have recently got a puppy cavoodle so are unable to do any dog sitting for the next few months. Sorry for any inconvenience.My name is Eleanor and I am a teacher at a local primary school. My husband, Steve, is recently retired and at home during the days.&nbsp;
We love looking after Snoopy, our son's sausage dog when he and his partner are working. We have a safe, fully fenced garden that he loves to play in and relax in the sun or under the shade. We enjoy walking him on the beach and around the streets locally and giving him lots of cuddles.&nbsp;
We had a chocolate brown Labrador for 16 years, who immigrated from England with us to NZ when he was 15. His name was Barney and he loved swimming. He came to work with us every day in our florist in London and was well known with everyone in the area.&nbsp;
We can look after fully vaccinated dogs who are friendly around other dogs. We can also take your dog for walks or check in on them if you're working. 


My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from a love for animals, especially dogs. I have two dogs of my own, a Jack Russell and a Maltese-Jack Russell mix, both of who have taught me so much about the importance of providing attentive and loving care. Through my experience caring for them and other families pets, I’ve developed a deep understanding of their needs and personalities and know how to properly care for them and to make sure they get all the walks and activity that they need.
My partner has also cared for many dogs, and I've been fortunate to share in this passion. Together, we have gained valuable experience looking after dogs of all sizes and breeds for others while they are away, and all our experiences have been incredibly positive. I truly enjoy the opportunity to bond with new dogs and ensure they feel comfortable and happy in a familiar and loving environment. I often like taking younger energetic dogs down to the beach or a park and making sure they get plenty of time to run around and play and for older dogs I love taking them on a slow relaxed walk at their pace. 
I take great pride in providing a safe and enriching experience for each dog I care for, and I strive to make sure all pets feel at home while their families are away.


I am an animal lover by nature and feel happiest when I am in the company of animals. I have pet/housesat previously for two families, a total of three dogs and a cat, and have also fostered two kittens on behalf of the SPCA. I have administered oral medications. Other services include dog walking, check ups in the evenings during weekdays, anytime on weekends, grooming/brushing, walks and generally keeping them company. I am an open communicator and will ensure you get regular updates. I am more than happy to come to their home and spend time with them while you are away or if they need a bit more company!
I leave early for work in the morning but can be flexible in the evenings and weekends. I work from home two days a week (usually Wednesday and Thursday), so any locations close by I can visit during lunchtimes. Flexible anytime on weekends.
