Family Caring For Pets In Our Home

About Cara
I am a mother who works full-time (outside of our home) around school-aged children.
At the moment, we cannot take on puppies or dogs that require more attention during the day (or those who may be desctructive or "noisy") as we cannot tend to their needs while we are at work/school.
Our home is domestic, based in a quiet cul-de-sac.
Situated between Saxtons' field & Ngawatu playing fields, and a short drive to the river or beach for some great times.
Our home is fully fenced, with a metre high gate at the front entrance (now atop with another metre of fencing because we often dog-sit a "jumper")
* Please be mindful that we have guest dogs share our house, with up to 3 (maximum) staying at a time. If your dog does not get along with others, this might not be the place for them to stay, alternatively check to see if we can book out our house so they are the sole dog for the time of their stay.*
We are a family with 1 teen at home (16) who love animals. We enjoy treating our doggie guests like they are our own (this may include making the dogs snuggle on their beds or lay on the couch with them) They have now got used to saying "goodbye" to your furry children, in the hope that they will be back to stay again someday.
We like to be active, so taking your dog for a walk, or playing fetch at the park (or beach) is not a problem.
We are currently without our own dog (due to kids sports commitments that take us out of town), although we are really loving dog-sitting (which we have been doing now for 7+ years)
We like to treat a dog as part of our family, our rule is "firm but fair".
We like to keep up any of the good habits your dog may have and help with any lessons/schooling that your dog may be learning (or attending)
