Who are we?

Kia Ora, my name is Carli. My "Mr Darcy", Harold, will usually be with me too.

We are mature, non smoking and quiet life enjoying people with commonsense - your home and pets will be well cared for.

We live in Manly, Whangaparaoa (Auckland NZ).

If you are looking for someone reliable, trustworthy and who will care for your pet as if they were out own then look no further!

Why are we pet sitting?

We have owned dogs since childhood, specifically Dachshunds and Labradors - our last fur baby passed away in 2022.

I am currently studying Montessori education and get to travel for block courses. And so we find ourselves not in a position to give a new puppy the kind of life we wish to provide for them right now.

I love spending time with animals, I have had lots of experience in the past of pet and housesitting - I have also owned dogs and small mammals (and lived with cats while flatting). 

I enjoy working with dogs using basic commands using positive reinforcement.

We work in early childhood education and I have my own business - Aroha Nui Montessori and Beyond.

We work in Silverdale 8.30-3.30pm during school term time (we are more flexible with hours during school holiday periods while not "working").

(We may also be happy to travel out of town during school holidays for anyone further afield. I have house/pet sat 3 times in Australia while travelling for Montessori courses and lived/worked in Wānaka for almost 3 years with several pet sitting opportunities - including one long term (the full school year) with a golden retriever).

My repertoire of experience is growing and I have now taken care of Dogs, Cats, Fish, Turtles, Australian reptiles (not snakes), Chickens, and Hopping Mice!!

Some small print

Depending on the nature of your requirements there may be additional charges of $2.50-$5 per extra pet - to be discussed on enquiry (straight forward pet sitting with walks and regular feeding schedule will not incur additional charges).

If you are not local to hibiscus coast we may ask to have our first "meet up" via phone/zoom to make sure we are suited to your role.

We always offer 1-2 free of charge meet ups (capped at 60 mins per visit) beyond this we are happy to schedule paid dog walks/visits if you are needing more time/extra training.

While we do not currently have dog walking or pop in visits available on my calendar we may be able to accommodate these so feel free to send a message and we can chat - we will add these to the calendar as they are requested.
