I am a recent graduate with my masters in athletic training from the USA. I am in New Zealand from July 2019-July 2020 on a Working Holiday Visa and am employed in healthcare part-time.
I love to snuggle dogs and play all day with them! I'm also great at brushing pups. I have cared for pets of family friends for years and cherish all the time I get to spend with your loved ones! I have longed for a dog since I was a kid, and love taking care of others' precious pups. I can handle several dogs at a time, and grew up with a cat so I am experienced in dog-cat relations. I love to make new friends and explore new areas, and you can be sure your dog will get a quality walk or sit from me. I can't wait to meet your animal. I can be very flexible to meet your needs. I especially love to housesit, as I feel it provides the dogs a better experience and more time out of the house!
I offer dog walking, home-visits, house-sitting/dog-sitting, and other animal sits/play. Included in a dog walk is between a 20 and 60 minute walk (depending on your needs). I am happy to send pictures of your dog hiking/walking/playing. I can also take dogs to dog parks to supervise them socializing. My home visits are 30 minutes long and may include a potty break, playing a yard or with toys, and any feeding/medications. In a house-sit, I will feed your animals, play with them/walk them as many times as you request per day, and manage your house/keep it in spotless condition. Feel free to reach out if you have specific needs, I can be adaptable. I love to snuggle dogs and to give them lots of belly rubs! I will give your dog several hours of attention per day on a sit, and will update you with pictures, videos, and summaries of activities every day while you are away (if you'd like).

I know doggie CPR, am experienced with giving dogs medications and unique foods, and love to run! I also grew up with unique pets including fish, reptiles, and stick bugs, so I can care for unique animals as well.

Amelia looked after my two cats and gave one of them his medication while I was away. I also received photos to give me peace of mind. The house was immaculate, as if no one had even stayed. My cats are indoor cats that love company and this was the first time both my partner and I would be away since we brought them home. I was very happy and glad to have Amelia take care of them.
We were so pleased to leave our dog with Amelia. She is very experienced with dogs - when we got back from holiday, we discovered our dog was better behaved than before we left! Amelia looked after our house superbly, she stayed in touch with us while we were away, and our dog adored her. We'd happily have Amelia dogsit for us again :)
