Hiya, my name is Dyani and I am a 21 year old student at Otago University.
I grew up on a farm in Southland surrounded by a variety of small and large animals, and as such I developed a love of animals at a very young age. Some of my favourite childhood memories were helping my parents out on the farm with the deer, cows and sheep. I raised and was responsible for pet lambs and calves every year so spring was always my favourite time of the year. I also had two horses, and as a family we always had a cat. My mother worked as a vet nurse and practise manager for many years before my parents went farming, and she has passed a lot of animal care knowledge onto me.
I frequently looked after the neighbours farm dogs, family dog and chickens when they went away on holiday, and absolutely loved spending time with the dogs when I did so.
As I am currently flatting it has not been possible for me to have my own dogs or animals. I am really missing my pets at home and being around animals all the time, so I would love to meet your pets and be able to help out. I offer dog walking and am happy to do animal checkups at home too. Now that the university year is over I am free a lot of the time and am happy to fit in with whatever suits you and your pet best :) I have my own car and full driver's license and would be more than happy to take your dog on longer adventures.
My dog walks will be 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on where we go and what we do. For home visits I am able to administer medication, and I will clean trays (etc), organise feeding, and give your pet plenty of attention. I am also happy to do other general housekeeping tasks. The lengths of the home visits can be flexible depending on your pets' requirements. I look forward to hearing from you, please feel free to contact me with any questions :)

Dyani was a great help checking in on our cat each day while we were away. He is normally pretty wary of strangers but he came out for a cuddle with Dyani and she kindly sent us updates/pictures. Would definitely use her services again!
Dyani was great to engage with from initial 'sniffing out' meeting with the cats through to texting us about how they were getting on during the visiting days. It's very evident how consciencious and caring she is, our least social cat even made friends with her which is no easy thing to do and speaks volumes!
Would have no hesitation in recommending her as a pet sitter and we will definitely use her services again :)
