Kia ora, i‘m Nicky, 36 years old and live in the North East Valley Dunedin. I have enjoyed a wide variety of pets growing up including dogs such as Labradors, Poodles and Pit Bull Terriers.
I regularly walk/run after work and during weekends - it would be my absolute pleasure to have a canine companion to do this with.
I’m experienced with other fur babies including rabbits and cats too.
About my profession: I’m a primary school teacher. I also run a teaching program with the council teaching children how to be safe around dogs and the correct way of approaching animals.
I love and adore all animals. Currently renting and cannot have pets. I‘m passionate about animals and exercise and would appreciate the opportunity to combine both, whilst providing a friendly and reliable service to you.
What I can offer:
Peace of mind that your animal be it dog, rabbit or cat will be looked after to all your requirements.
Long dog walks early morning/evening Monday-Friday as well as during weekends.
Home visits/services- I can administer oral/injected medication, clean rabbit, cat or dog trays, and organise feeding (as well as give cuddles/attention). Whatever you require.
Good communication & updates on your pet's wellbeing. I check Pawshake & my email regularly being a busy teacher and can respond quickly if you need any assistance.
Transport: I own a 4WD should your dog require transportation to and from places (or to take to dog parks/ go on long hikes). You can also drop your dog off at my home and we can walk from where I live, as there are many suitable dog places nearby.
PLEASE note that Pawshake takes 19% of any fees listed - therefore the amount pet walkers/sitters receive is much lower.

Nicky was an absolute wonder housesitting for us and looking after our cat Luna who doesn’t take kindly to strangers. It was the first time we’ve left her in the company of someone else so understandably we were a bit nervous, but by the first night away and seeing the updates and photos sent through we could tell that Nicky had the seal of approval from Luna.
We received regular updates and photos while we were away, and she went above and beyond cleaning the house for us which we really appreciated. We’d happily have Nicky look after Luna again and would highly recommend her to others.
