My Experience

I grew up with dogs in my family and have owned both Boxers and Old Tyme Bulldogs. Over the years, I’ve also pet-sit for family and friends, from short weekend stays to extended periods of six weeks or more.

I’ve had the pleasure of caring for a variety of dogs—from old, deaf Labradors, Rottweilers, Staffies, and energetic high-maintenance herding breeds.

Having cared for my own dogs for many years, I understand pet hygiene and have a good sense of dog behaviour and training. I'm also familiar with administering medications and providing different levels of stimulation and exercise for your pup.

Location

We live in Orewa, with walks around our local estuary, dog-friendly parks close by, or a short 5-minute drive for beach walks. We have a reasonably sized living space and a grassy garden with plenty of room to run around and play.

I'm an active person and outdoors-oriented, so dogs that require a lot of stimulation will be in their element. My partner is a keen hiker, so there's always the option to go on adventures or smaller local walks with her.
