I have always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and would love to spend more time with them. During my childhood, my family lived in India for six years, where my sister and I regularly cared for stray dogs and their puppies. Later, after moving to South Africa, we were thrilled to experience wildlife up close and spent most of our holidays exploring wildlife parks.

Throughout my youth, we always had a dog at home. When I began working, I missed that companionship but felt it unfair to leave a dog alone all day. To stay involved, I volunteered on weekends in the canine section of the SPCA.

Now, at age 66 and retired, my partner and I would love to care for other people’s pets rather than have one of our own, so we can remain flexible. Being retired means we have time all day to dedicate to your pet, whether that involves walking, home visits, or boarding at our place.

Our home features a large, fully fenced and gated garden—perfect for larger dogs. We also have a big fish pond stocked with goldfish, which many dogs find fascinating. Labradors, in particular, enjoy taking a dip! We are fortunate to live near walking trails and beaches, offering a variety of safe, off-road paths for leashed or unleashed walks, including opportunities for dogs to swim in the lagoon.

Our canine guests always sleep inside the house at night, enjoying warmth, security, and companionship.

We would be thrilled to care for your pet and give them the attention and exercise they deserve.

Please note: For dog boarding and daycare, we currently only accept larger dogs.
