Lauryn

Hi there, my name is Lauryn and I'm currently a student at the University of Canterbury. I'm looking for casual or regular work and this job seems perfect! 

I've moved to Christchurch from my home in Hawke's Bay to study so no longer get to see my family pets so this job would be an awesome way to be able to indulge my love of animals! At home I have a 4 year old mix-breed Staffy who we adopted from the SPCA and a 14 year old Jack Russel/Bichon Frise. We have also had a number of other dogs throughout my childhood and teenage years, including larger dog breeds so am comfortable around all different shapes and sizes of dogs. 

At home we also have two 4 year old cats and have had two other cats in the past so I am also comfortable with handling cats. Throughout the years some of our pets have needed medication for conditions such as kidney stones and UTIs so am happy to give oral medication where needed! Overall, have been lucky and grateful to have had lots of interractions with animals.

A previous job I've had was working for a cat-breeder which involved cleaning the cat living areas (including changing litter boxes), feeding the cats and handling kittens! If you would like some sort of reference I can provide you with the breeder's number. I've also done quite a few babysitting/housesitting gigs that included looking after cats, dogs, guinea pigs, fish and quails!

I am happy to work with any pets, vaccinated or not.
