About Becca
Kia ora,
My name is Becca and I am a University of Otago majoring in zoology. I love any and all animals! As I was growing up, I had almost every pet you could think of: fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, cattle, sheep, goats, horses, rats, cats and dogs. In the future, that list will expand to birds, reptiles and amphibians. Over the past 10 years, I have house-sat/pet-sat for many family friends and community members, all of whom were grateful and praised my work, hoping to use me in the future. My family and I have volunteered as a foster home for SPCA and other cat rescues for over 10 years. From this, I have experience dealing with medicating and caring for cats of all ages. My current dog also suffers from anxiety and is extremely nervous. She has taught me how to calm, communicate and sympathise with anxious behaviours.
I am a very empathetic and kind person who wants to share my love with more animals!
Available mornings, afternoons and evenings every day (except Wednesdays and Thursdays, available evenings only).
Can administer medication and basic training skills; no grooming but can trim doggy claws if needed.
Home visits: I will be there for at least 2 hours, 2-3 times a day. Can do casual household chores if need be.
Dog walks: Walk length will depend on your dog's age, breed and energy levels. They will occur around the neighbourhood, dog park or potential river/beach trips.
House sitting: Will stay at the home for the whole day/night (if applicable), unless other work/home chores call. The pet can come with depending. House will be locked 24/7.
