Hi there! I’m Kyra, an animal-loving ecologist and zoologist based in Dunedin, offering in-home pet sitting for people who want someone reliable and compassionate to care for their furry family members while they're away.

My motivation for pet sitting comes from a deep love for animals and understanding how stressful it can be for both pets and their owners to be apart. I want to be that reassuring presence, providing temporary care, attention, and affection to pets in their own familiar environment. Knowing that owners can trust me to be there for their animals—and that I can help reduce anxiety during their time away—is incredibly rewarding.

I’ve helped a friend with her mini pet-sitting business, which has been such a fun and fulfilling experience that I’ve decided to offer my own services too. While I can't take pets into my own home (thanks to housemates), I’m more than happy to stay at yours and keep your pets company, walk your dogs, and make sure everything runs smoothly while you’re gone.

I grew up with both cats and dogs—especially Labradors—so I’m comfortable with larger breeds and all kinds of pet personalities. I’ll happily take dogs on long walks (especially since I love being outdoors), and I’m a bit of a crazy cat lady when it comes to cuddles and company. Whether it’s training, playing, or just keeping them calm and content, your pets will be in caring, capable hands.
