You would imagine it's everyone's dream job to be around animals all day, every day, so I guess you could say I sure am living the dream. I am a 26-year-old female living in Rotorua on a decent-sized piece of land, tucked away in a little rural getaway in the middle of town (very lucky!). I have 8 hilarious chickens that always provide us with laughs and eggs. I also share my home with an 8-year-old Maine Coon X Norwegian Forest cat named Nala—should have named her Regina George! There's Hunter, a young stray cat who found his way back home after being adopted out, and my beautiful 5-year-old black mouth cur X Whippet named Hope, a rescue who was thrown out of a moving car on the Napier/Hastings expressway. I've had more dogs in my lifetime who passed due to old age—what I would give for one last walk on the beach.

My motivation to be a pet sitter? Pets are downright cool! Their personalities and the joy they bring are incredible; who doesn't want to indulge in that daily?

🐾 I welcome all animals, not just dogs—cats, reptiles, birds, and horses are all welcome. I do not discriminate against breeds; I truly love all animals, big or small.

While I have had no paid experience sitting animals, I have interacted with a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, horses, sheep, goats, and birds, and I understand their needs well. I’m open to non-vaccinated animals, as my pets are vaccinated, but I do not accept short-term sick animals. Long-term illnesses requiring medication are perfectly fine.
