Hi, My name is Tania, I'm a 48-year-old woman who enjoys taking care of all sorts of animals. I have cared for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, iguanas and chickens.

This year I cared for my sister's pack of marvellous misfits; Pepper, her first and oldest dog with hip issues; Roxy, the middle dog; Merle Nala, her 3-month-old puppy and her gorgeous 13-year-old iguana named Luke. Caring for them reminded me how much I miss having pets. For the past eight months, I have been pet-sitting abroad and want to do more at home. It's been great getting to know the different personalities of different pets. Some more lovely pets I've cared for include a fancy Chinchilla cat, a Welsh Terrier, a French Bulldog, a huge rescue with Bull Mastive in the mix, a beautiful Pomeranian ex-show dog and a Siamese fighting fish.

Growing up, we had dogs, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, and chickens. My aunt and uncle owned a pet shop, so I have hand reared rejected bird chicks, fed the reptiles live crickets and cleaned cockatoo cages. There aren't many animals that I'm not comfortable around.

About me:

I am a contractor primarily working with government agencies, so I have a mix of working in the office and working from home. Happy to look after your puppies on the weekend but with my work schedule I may need to spend an 8-hour day in the office. I am looking for the occasional house-sitting job because I love having a pet but can't currently care for one long-term. I have to remain nimble in case my Mom, who lives in Canada, needs me to help her with the odd health issue. As much as I'd love a pet, I just can't commit to having one of my own. I look forward to caring for yours for now.

I understand that every animal is unique and has their preferred routines. I will learn them so your pets feel as little disruption as possible.

I'd like to know more about your pet. Let me know if your dog or cat requires medications or injections, needs their face folds wiped daily or ears cleaned, or maybe they have activities or walks they particularly like. I'm happy to accommodate.
