About Kaitlyn
I have always had a love for animals and have especially enjoyed spending time with them at home. Between the ages of 10 and 20, I was lucky enough to have 2 rabbits, 2 budgies, 2 mice, a turtle, and a cat. I am now 25, living alone in a town house, and have recently stopped working full time, so I have taken up pet sitting as something of a side hussle/hobby. I've had plenty of experience in pet sitting, mostly with cats and small animals, but also, more recently, small to medium dogs.
In my current situation, I'm rarely out of the house for more than a few hours at a time and will be able to spend plenty of time with the pets. I like to stay active, so I can do walks/runs as often as needed. My house is two-storeys, fully and securely fenced. I'm here by myself, so there's lots of room to share with a little buddy. I always make sure to make every pet feel as loved and looked after as possible, with lots of attention and sticking to any routine they're used to at home, and I will likely make a space just for them in a corner of my living room or bedroom where they can have their own little safe spot. I do have a partner who comes over every day (that's the guy in my photos), and he always enjoys spending time with the pets, but we don't live together. Let me know if you'd like him to be there during our meet and greet!
I have a wide range of hobbies that take up my free time - some of which include aerial arts, film photography, reading, and taking up whatever little project I come across through each week. I had been working as a chef for over a year but have recently lost my job after the cafe closed down, and I'm now looking for more flexible work. I am also a performing and recording musician, so I occasionally have night rehearsals and gigs here and there. I'm sure this paints quite a busy picture of my life - having all these options and activities provides a lot of flexibility with how I spend my time, which allows me to tailor my needs to wherever I am and whoever I'm spending my time with. This makes it easy to fit a little friend into my life, whenever I'm pet sitting.
I understand that leaving your pet with someone new can be quite difficult, so I'm happy to answer any questions you may have and discuss your pet's needs to help both you and your pet feel more at ease.
Please note: I can only accept bookings after we've had a meet and greet. If you have more than one dog for me to look after, I generally charge an extra $20/night, per extra dog.
