Hello, I'm Dan, and I'm nuts about dogs. You'll often find me at the dog beach or the river with my best mate Frankie, who is a german shorthaired pointer. We love meeting other dogs and going for walks, chasing a ball, or hanging out at the dog beach. We also like visiting the parks and tracks around Richmond, Brightwater and Wakefield. We are based in Hope but can venture out further sometimes, as I work in Nelson.

We're familiar with dog training basics so if you have a full-on pup who is still learning the ropes, we're happy to pick up where you've left off and help out with that training and socialising. We mostly love off-lead walks but happy to accommodate with lead walks too. Frankie is a high energy, friendly girl so if your pup loves big runs, swimming and lots of playing, we're your guy/dog! Frankie is fully vaccinated. 

I have a full time job and a small family so we're a busy household, but can help evenings and weekends.

While dogs are my passion, I also have a soft spot for cats and smaller animals who might need feeding/cage cleaning/company while you're away. I have had a fair bit of experience in caring for animals, we have always had family dogs, and in the past cats, ginea pigs, stick insects (yes, really). We also have farm animals on our property. I work in conservation and have extensive experience in handling wild parrots! 

I've decided to offer my help on Pawshake as I have always valued the help of walkers and petsitters for our own pets rather than relying on kennels. Frankie loves her walks and holidays with her other families when we need help or are away. Our animals deserve the best!

Here is a few questions you may have regarding my services:

What services do I offer in your home and what's included in then? Afternoon/evening dog walking, afternoon/evening house drop ins, litter changing for cats, afternoon/evening feeds, lots of playtime and cuddles, one on one time with your pet, watering of any plants or taking in mail if needed.

How long will I stay with your pet during dog walks and home visits? The usual time is 30-40mins

When am I available for those services? Dog walking and house sits are afternoon/evenings. Please check my calendar for my availability.
