I am a mother who works full-time (outside of our home) around school-aged children.
Our home is domestic, based in a quiet cul-de-sac.
Situated between Saxtons' field & Ngawatu playing fields, and a short drive to the river or beach for some great times.
Our home is fully fenced, with a metre high gate at the front entrance (now atop with another metre of fencing because we often dog-sit a "jumper")
We are a family with 2 children at home (16 and 13) who love animals. The girls mostly enjoy treating their doggie guests like they are their own (this may include making the dogs snuggle on their beds or lay on the couch with them) They have now got used to saying "goodbye" to your furry children, in the hope that they will be back to stay again someday.
We like to be active, so taking your dog for a walk, or playing fetch at the part (or beach) is not a problem.
We are currently without our own dog (due to kids sports commitments that take us out of town), although we are really loving dog-sitting (which we have been doing now for 5 years)
We like to treat a dog as part of our family, our rule is "firm but fair".
We like to keep up any of the good habits your dog may have and help with any lessons/schooling that your dog may be learning (or attending)
My children like the feeling of independence, that being able to take a dog out for a walk, can give them, and really enjoy taking dogs to the beach and playing with them there (finished off with a nice soapy warm bath when they return home)
We don't mind dogs being inside and love it when a dog wants to snuggle.
Thanks so much!
Would highly recommend, our boy was well looked after and I received photos during his stay. They were so easy to communicate with and flexible. Will definitely use again.
