My name is Kaitlin and I adore dog and cats! I love jogging so I would be keen to take your pooch out for a jog or brisk walk. I can also slow down for elderly dogs or just stay in and cuddle to keep a cat company. When I walk dogs I use positive reinforcement and consistent commands and body language to establish a routine with the dog. The more you can tell me about your pet's routine or temperament, the better relationship I can build with it and the better care I can give. I am also very interested in birds and exotic pets like reptiles.
I lived abroad for several years as an international school teacher and just moved to Nelson. Unfortunately, I can't bring my pets with me (yet) due to some laws and restrictions. I signed up with Pawshake because I miss my pets and want to give cuddles and care to our four-legged friends.
I would be a very responsible and reliable walker or sitter. In the past, I was a dog-walker and pet-sitter in the USA and volunteer at a dog shelter in Thailand. I trained my own dog as an AKC Therapy Dog. Beyond that, I realize how important a pet's well-being is and that it's not just a pet, but part of the family.
