Hello, and thank you for considering my pet care services. My name is Chris, and I relocated to Matakana with my wife and our beloved West Highland Terrier in 2020, seeking a peaceful retreat from the bustling Auckland inner city. We now reside on a spacious property, nestled down a long driveway, where we enjoy our own slice of paradise.

In May 2022, I left my corporate job to oversee the renovation of our home. With that project now complete, I am eager to engage with the community and pursue my passion for animal care. Although we sadly lost our Westie in March of this year at the age of 16, I have found joy in caring for my two fur grandbabies, both rescue dogs.

While we are not yet ready to welcome another pet permanently into our home, I take great satisfaction in looking after animals. I appreciate the unique personalities of each pet and how they reveal themselves over time. My experience includes fostering numerous cats and dogs, as well as providing care for horses. Additionally, my wife, a registered nurse and dedicated animal welfare advocate, supports me in this endeavor.

When you entrust your dog to my care, they become part of our family. They will never be left alone in a kennel and will receive regular exercise tailored to their needs, playtime, and training if necessary. I find that it typically takes a few hours to a couple of days to bond with new dogs.

As the dogs will be living in our house with us I do expect any guests to be well house trained and up to date with their vaccinations.
