Hi Everyone  

I’m Jess, I am based in Redwood Valley, Tasman and I work in Nelson City, although I do not mind travelling around the Nelson/Tasman Region for your fur babies.  

I am a lifelong animal lover, and I have experience in cats, birds, rabbits, fish and all other small animals. I am also confident with sheep, cows, horses, poultry and all other stock.  

I am also happy to water house plants and gardens, check on swimming pools and spas and other tasks such as collecting mail, putting bins out and other things that may be helpful  

I currently work for a government agency, and I am training to be a volunteer firefighter, so I have had a recent police check. 

I am caring, patient, compassionate, and honest  

I have always had animals in my life from a young age and still into my 30’s they rule my life.  

In the past I have owned many rabbits and a guinea pig, cats & dogs, I have had frogs and goldfish, ducks and ducklings, goats and I have bottle fed and raised two 2-week-old twin goats. I have also hand raised
wild bunnies and hatched multiple chickens via incubator and assisted in the hatching of eggs under a mother hen.  

Some of my hobbies include, gardening, plant propagation, camping, tramping, swimming, being around animals and spending time in the outdoors.  

I am flexible with my time although I do work full time Monday to Friday.  

I currently have one cat named Evie, 2 budgies called Pepper and Poncho, and 9 chickens, my landlords also have sheep and cows on the property.  

When house sitting and checking in on your animals, I cangive you daily updates and photos on how things are going if that is something you would be interested in either via txt or Pawshake.  

I will check on each pet’s food and water, give cuddles and scratches and I am comfortable giving medication and will clean up after them each visit.  

The amount of time I spend with your animals will depend on what the owner is wanting. I am happy to check in each morning and night if required and if not staying on the property. If the address is close to my work, I am happy to stop in on my lunch break if necessary.  

My availability calendar will be updated regularly but I am generally at home or close by.  

When I was younger, I volunteered at the SPCA each Saturday morning and was mainly in charge of looking after the kittens, although I helped with all other required tasks.
