My name is Claire Lin. I came to New Zealand in 2014 and started working on a dairy farm in Canterbury after graduating from Animal Science degree in my home country, Taiwan. I have a huge passion on animals in my whole life. I had dogs and hamsters at home.
After working on farm for three years, I decided to pursue my dream and started Veterinary degree at Massey University in 2018. During my degree, I still work on farm in weekends as I love to work with cows and calves. I also have experiences on farm sitting and house sitting during study break. The pets that I have looked after include dogs, cats, sheep, and rabbit.
I am also willing to look after other species of animals for the owners.
I am a tidy, mature, and caring person. As being a student, it is hard to have my own pet. Therefore, I am keen on housesitting during my study. Although my timetable is pretty full on during weekdays, I am able to stay in your place before 9am and after 5pm. I will look after both your house and pet well while you are away. As a vet student, I care about animals and will make sure your fluff babies are well. As an independent person, I will keep your house tidy and clean. The services that I can do while housesitting include walking your dog 30 minute- 1 hour daily, feeding your pets, playing and cuddling your fluff babies, oral or injection medication if needed.
Claire agreed to come and check in on my cat at very short notice. I really appreciated the prompt and clear communication and the little note she left behind. Would definitely recommend Claire and ask her to look after my pets again.
Claire was amazing with our fur babies. I have 2 Rotties And a cat and was a bit nervous about leaving them with someone they didn’t know too well. She made them feel comfortable, loved and eased my mind with consistent updates while I was away. I definitely recommend Claire and will be booking her services in the future.
