Hello there!

My name is Jamie Block and I am a professional pet and house sitter from the Central Coast of California. Over the past three years, I have had the pleasure of caring for over 25 clients’ furry friends and homes and have built strong relationships with a number of loyal repeat clients. I am so excited to have the opportunity to come to New Zealand and bring my skills as a highly qualified house and pet sitter to the people of New Zealand.

Ever since I can remember, I have always had an undeniable love and affection for animals. I was lucky enough to have many pets growing up. I had two dogs, fish, birds, turtles, and a guinea pig! This exposure nurtured my love for animals and taught me the importance of responsible pet care. Those who have trusted me with their pets, will tell you that they feel safe when their pet is in my hands because I am responsible, have experience, and I genuinely love and care for their animals.

After becoming a professional pet and house sitter, my passion and devotion to caring for animals has only deepened. I have experienced an array of house sitting and animal care responsibilities such as animals with special needs like mobility and urinary incontinence issues. I have cared for dogs with medical conditions and some that were partially paralyzed, and in two instances I have taken dogs to emergency pet visits due to unforeseen complications during my care. Through these experiences, I have practiced and gained insight on the steps to take during emergencies and have the confidence in my abilities to handle any surprise challenge that comes my way. With every unique situation, I have had the opportunity to develop a wide range of pet care skills such as effective communication, problem solving, and ultimately, provide the best quality care for my client’s fury loved ones.
