Hello, I’m Karin, 34 and living in Hamilton together with my partner and our gorgeous, very spoiled cat, Mojo.

Originally I am from the northern part of The Netherlands and moved to New Zealand last June to be with my Kiwi bloke.

I am excited to get to know more people and their sweet pets through pet sitting.

While I’ve been settling into my new life here I have been volunteering at the SPCA several mornings a week. I have also been fostering rabbits for the SPCA. This year I started working at a doggy daycare and I absolutely love it!

I got my first pet rabbit at a young age and through the years I’ve had cockatiels, lovebirds, a Senegal parrot, rabbits, cats and an adorable American Cocker Spaniel called Benji.

My passion for animals has led me to look after other people’s pets and foster rescues for many years. These included; Parrots, chickens, cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, small rodents and horses.

I have studied Animal Care and volunteered at rescue shelters since my teens. This led me to find alternative ways to learn more about various animals, using courses, lectures and The Netherlands’ only Bird Clinic, Kliniek Voor Vogels. But I’ll never stop, especially learning about the unique characters in my beautiful new home country.

I am happy to help you with the care of your animal(s) while you are away. I would love to meet with you (and your pets!) to talk about how I can help you.

When it comes to availability, I am quite flexible during the day. You can check my calendar for availability.

There’s nothing I love doing more than caring for animals and I find it extremely rewarding to see pets thrive and prosper.
