Hi I'm Olivia, i’m a passionate animal lover and outdoor enthusiast! I have a BSc in Zoology (with a minor in Ecology and Conservation) and am in my first year of my MSc in Marine Science at Otago University and I hope to dedicate my career to wildlife conservation with a focus on seabirds. I'm lucky to have my thesis focusing on Little blue penguins in Oamaru!

I have lived with pets my whole life, and have had heaps of experiences caring for a range of animals, both for my career alongside pet sitting and dogwalking, which I've done for the last 10+ years! I've had heaps of experience with (and have owned) cats and dogs, but I also have had heaps of experience with your more exotic reptiles, amphibians, rodents, birds and rabbits. I've had experience administering oral medications to cats, dogs, birds and rabbits, and my experience at the Wildbase Recovery Centre (focused on birds and tuatara) has given me heaps of experience working with sick and injured animals needing a bit more TCL or medical attention. I'm also an experienced babysitter and have worked at an after-school care, so I know how to handle things when it all gets a bit chaotic. I'm super detail-focused and my experiences working with both animals and kids has given me patience and understanding, while I have a great understanding of animal behaviours. I am also happy to help with brushing, bathing or any physiotherapy exercises your loved ones might have! 

My gallery shows heaps of photos of my childhood dog Coco, who is living back home with my parents (miss her heaps!), as well as some photos of me with animals I've looked after through my university experience and work! I don't have heaps of domestic pet photos when I'm looking after pets, as I'm often too focused on giving them all my love and attention and forget to take photos!

As I come to the end of my first year of my Master's, I'll have no classes and will have a super flexible schedule on both the weekdays and weekends. I'm especially keen to take on a regular dog walking client a few times a week! I'm not currently living with any pets, so all my animal love will be directed towards yours! I'm based in North Dunedin and have my own car and full licence, and am able to travel within Dunedin.
