Im a pet mama of over 20 years. I lost my beautiful staffy dog Bela just on 2 years ago, she was an incredible 17 years old and I miss her desperately. I started dog minding as missed having a dog about the house .

I have a wee frenchie, very hyperactive but gentle soul who loves the company of another four legged friend .

I moved to Dunedin two years ago from Queenstown to realise the dream of home ownership and to have somewhere save and stable for my pets. In Queenstown Bela and I had many doggy visitors who stayed for a day,night or long weekend, plus we pet minded in peoples homes anywhere from a week to two months. Have looked after frenchies, pugs, fox terriers, jack russels, doodles, spoodles, stafforshire terriers, pitbulls, brtish bulldogs, labradors and healers.looked after mostly elderly dogs and those needing daily meds .

I bought a little cottage in the North East Valley in Dunedin. It has a small grassed fully fenced sunny backyard .Fences are well over 6ft high, backyard is all lawn and gets morning and afternoon sun. There is also a toasty fire and heatpump so its a lovely warm space.I do share the house with a dottery semi evil Cornish Rex cat called Ivy. She rules the roost so your doggy if staying at mine must be cat aware/friendly. Shes quite an independent sole and has her safe places to go.She has lived with two dogs before. 

Its a warm cosy cottage. Due to the size of the cottage and the backyard its more suitable for a small or medium doggy. Its on a quiet street. Im self employed so primarily work from home. If I do have a project on that requires me to be away for most of the day then I will mark unavailable on the calender.

I live only minutes from Chingford park, Woodhaugh Gardens and Bethunes Gully which are all great dog walks. Around 10 minutes Drive to the beach (st Clair and Tomohawk), which are also amazing dog walk areas.

your dog must be Fully house trained, desexed and fully vaccinated and cat aware . Smaller/medium dogs preferred due to having a smaller yard and cottage

your pet will be included in daily activities, taken on adventures and walks and swims will hang out with Dixie in sunny backyard and allowed on the couch . Happy to negotiate longer stays .
