Hello! My name is Kathryn and I am new to Dunedin, attending graduate school at the University of Otago. I'm from California originally and have been pet sitting for just over 15 years. I have had the privilege to take care of many dogs, cats, chickens, goats, horses, rabbits, rodents, you name it! I am very attentive to animals, I adore them. I personally have had hamsters, a rabbit, rat, guinea pig, cats, horses, and two dogs; my current dog lives oversees with my parents. I study marine biology and my field work takes me all over so I wouldn't be able to provide the best home for a pet of my own at the moment, but when I am home, I'd love to help take care of your furry friends. I am comfortable with all types of animals, even if they are timid, protective, or particular, I have experience with it all. I am also very comfortable giving any sort of medication (oral, IV, IM, etc.) as needed. I worked for a time as a professional equestrian, training and caring for horses of all kinds and I had the opportunity to work closely with some veterinarians. I am a reliable, mature individual and I will always put the animals first. Whether it's checking in and spending some time with them, going out for walks, or staying at their home so they are comfortable while their family is away, I have done it all and would like to do so here in Dunedin. I have taken care of well over 50 individual animals over the years and could easily provide plenty of references. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend(s)!
**Please note, if you are looking for regular dog walking, I can work out a schedule of evening walks during the week (after 5pm). Dog walking requested for a short period of time or a day here and there, I can possibly make some acceptions to walk before 5pm based on my school schedule for the requested dates.
