Hello! My name is Jenna, I'm 25, and have moved to the Coromandel area recently and I work full time in Waihi.

I love all animals and have owned a range of pets such as dogs, cats, fish, geckos, fish, and mice! I also have professional experience with animals from working at a wildlife park where I was lucky enough to work with native birds, trout and other farm animals (such as sheep, pigs, deer, and goats). I lived and studied in Dunedin for 4 years where I volunteered with a local dog rescue charity by fostering pound dogs until their forever homes were found. Through this experience, I have met and cared for a range of dogs from 12 weeks old to 10+ years old. It has provided me with experience with many dog breeds and personalities too! Fostering was very rewarding and I loved to be able to help these dogs have a second chance.

Services I can offer:

As I work full time cannot offer walking or house visits during the day, but can visit outside of business hours (before and after work), or during the weekends and public holidays. I can give medication, and do basic grooming (nails and brushing) if requested!

For my house-sitting service: I'll stay overnight with your pet, ensuring they receive lots of love and attention while you're away. Feeding, cleaning (toileting trays etc.), and walking is included.

For dog walking: Depending on your dog's needs, I can adapt the walk I take them on. As I have cared for older dogs, I'm able to notice behavioural changes when they have had enough or may be getting sore. I am also a keen hiker, so can take your dog on a longer adventure if this is what they need. Otherwise, a nice stroll around the streets, to the park, or down at the beach is possible too.

House visits: time spent with your pet will vary slightly based on my schedule, but I will ensure your pet is fed, and receives love and pats (if they want them!). I can spend a minimum of 30 mins per visit (give or take).

I signed up to be a pet sitter as I believe I am trustworthy, caring and experienced with many different animals. I use to offer these services when I was a student in Dunedin and I really enjoyed meeting new people and their pets. I want to provide a safe and trustworthy service for people who want to leave their pets in good hands, as this is what I look for with my own dog when I go away.

It is hard enough to leave our pets behind when we go away, but knowing your pet will be well cared for makes it that little bit easier! I always aim to send daily updates and pictures when I can.
