I'm Mike, a professional engineer originally from South Africa and now proudly calling Christchurch home. I first visited New Zealand in early 2019, immediately felt right at home, and soon after made one of the easiest and best decisions of my life by moving here permanently.

I discovered Pawshake while completing my Master's degree at AUT, looking for part-time work that genuinely made me happy. Combining my lifelong passion for pets with flexible work was an ideal match!

While I adore cats for their independence and charm, I share a uniquely strong bond with dogs. Growing up, my family included a playful Labrador, a spirited Jack Russell, and an energetic Husky. The Lab and Jack Russell both enjoyed long, joyful lives with us, while sadly, our Husky had to move to a new home better suited to her active nature. Beyond my family pets, I've gained extensive pet-care experience looking after dogs and cats for friends, family, and many satisfied Pawshake clients over the years—achieving over forty 5-star reviews.

My pet-sitting services include:

• Daily walks (up to an hour each day, tailored to your pet's energy level)
• Feeding and playtime
• Administration of medications (as required)
• Basic grooming and bathing
• General housekeeping to keep your home tidy and welcoming

I currently work full-time on weekdays, so you can expect me to be with your pets from around 4:30 pm until 8:00 am. On weekends, I'll typically spend most of my day at home, ensuring plenty of companionship and care for your furry friends.
