Hi there! I’m Michele, a passionate animal lover with years of experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. I’m 40 years old and originally from Germany. Having recently returned to New Zealand after living abroad, I’m excited to offer my services as a trusted pet sitter on Pawshake.

Before my return, I ran a mobile in-home pet care and dog-walking business in Germany, providing personalised care for pets in the comfort of their own homes. This experience has given me a deep understanding of various pets' needs and the importance of maintaining their routines and comfort while their owners are away.

Whether it’s daily walks, home visits, or house-sitting, I’m here to ensure your furry family members receive the love and attention they deserve while you are away. I have a special place in my heart for all animals and understand the importance of finding someone reliable to care for them.

I have cared for pets my whole life, from dogs and cats to smaller animals like rabbits and guinea pigs. I’m attentive, responsible, and treat every pet as if they were my own. You can rest assured that your pets will be in safe hands with me.

I can very easily and highly recommend Michele. Michele spent an extended period of time house sitting for me, not only did she volunteer last minute when our arranged house sitter suddenly pulled out, but she went above and beyond looking after my pets, a ten month old puppy and two cats, as well as the house and property.

It can be difficult having someone stay in your home but Michele made it easy. It was clear that she treated the place as her own, holding it in high regard. Nothing was out of place on my return, everything was clean and well looked after. For example, the vacuum stopped working due to a fault in the roller, Michele managed to diagnose the problem, take it to the store and get quotes for repair/ replacement, keeping us informed the entire time. This went above and beyond my expectations and was thoroughly appreciated.

She is reliable and incredibly caring. During the house sit, we received regular pictures, videos, and messages. It was clear the animals were being well looked after, comfortable in her care and obvious that she loved spending time with them. This went a long way to ease my anxieties about being away from home and my pets for such a long time.

When my puppy, Lenny, got a weepy eye, she cleaned it multiple times a day and applied eye drops as needed, keeping me updated throughout.

Lenny, Bean and Sprout, aren’t just pets but part of the family. I was happy that Michele was looking after them with such love and care. It was obvious when I returned home and Michele had left, that the animals missed her, and to me that was the biggest indication of the amazing job she had done.

I would not hesitate to have Michele housesit again, or to care for the animals. It would be difficult to find someone better suited for the job.
