Kia ora! I'm Kahurangi (Kahu for short), and I've been part of the Christchurch community for 8 years.

I absolutely adore animals and have lots of experience caring for pets with different needs. From daily dog walks to playing ball in the backyard or even adding vitamins to your pet's meals, I’m more than happy to help.

Having grown up around animals, I believe pets thrive best in their own environment when you're away. I love providing regular updates with photos and videos to keep you connected with your furry friends.

I've always had animals in my life, and over the past few years, I've been around dogs on a daily basis. One of my longest pet-sitting gigs lasted three months while a friend and her husband went on their big overseas adventure. I looked after their two large dogs, a 17-year-old cat, a bunch of fish, and a heap of houseplants—it was a full-on job, but I loved it.

My expertise doesn't extend to any training or grooming unfortunately, however, I am familiar with administering medication via pets food if necessary. As long as the right instructions are provided I am happy to assist.

I'm pretty easygoing and love staying active, so whether it’s a long walk or a fun play session, I’m all in when it comes to keeping your pets happy and moving. I currently work full-time at MBIE, so I’m around outside of standard office hours during the week. I'm also looking into going back to study to complete a Bachelor of Nursing—something I'm really excited about.
