We've been on Pawshake since late 2022 and have looked after many pets, including dogs, cats, fish, birds, turtles, a bearded dragon, and even a hedgehog. Each, with their very own adorable quirks and personalities.

What is your motivation to be a pet sitter? 

With me working from anywhere with internet access and Julie with her culinary studies, we decided that pet sitting would allow us to get out of the house and exercise. Also, I am studying Animal Nutrition at Massey University, and also volunteer at the SPCA in my spare time.

Do you have previous experience? 

Julie and I both grew up with family pets, including dogs, cats, goats, birds, and sheep, to name a few. But, since moving back to New Zealand, we have been looking after people's pets and homes, from gorgeous, small furries to medium-sized house dogs and barely-can-fit-in-the-house Rottweilers.

Do you only take vaccinated pets into your home?

We prefer to stay at the owners' place to cause minimum disruption to the pets' routine, especially with cats. If anyone has moved house with a cat before, they will know what I mean. Keeping people's pets happy and comfortable in their own home makes everyone happy.

Will you send updates on our pets?

Julie and I offer to send daily updates of your pets* via a social messaging app of your choice of any super-cute moments or random acts of gorgeousness.
