Hi there, my name is Lucy, I am 56 and live in North New Brighton, Christchurch with my two ex-racing retired greyhounds and my long-suffering husband.

Before you read further, my service extends only to greyhounds.

We have a secure property - fully fenced with a nice north-facing deck for hounds to bask in the sun during the warmer months. I have been an active volunteer and foster parent with Nightrave Greyhounds - South Island.

My hounds are both used to having friends to stay in the home. Your hound, if happy can sleep in their bed in our lounge or if they prefer, a crate. Whatever makes your pup feel safe.

 I prefer that we all meet before the stay to check if our hounds will be besties

I am a student and are home a lot to supervise the dogs.

In a career past, I was as a veterinary nurse for 10 years so I can administer medications, clip nails and recognise any issues that might crop up.

My two dogs demand at least one walk daily so that is on the daily activity chart and we mix that up with walks at the Groynes, around my local streets, Rawhiti Golf Course (golf ball dodging) and Bottle Lake Forest - to name just a few.  

Things to note:

• Overnight stays must come with their bed, food, treats and medications.
• All dogs hosted must be up to date with their vaccinations
• For overnight stays, I prefer to host one dog. I can stretch to two if from the same family.
• For daycare - a maximum of two dogs per day.
