Animal lover who will treat your fur-babies as my own

About Rachel
Please note I do work full time so am only available in the evenings for home visits.
I love all animals but have the most experience with cats and dogs. I currently have two cats of my own and they are my world. I used to travel extensively and had to have them taken care of, so I know the anxiety about leaving your fur-baby in someone else's hands. Therefore I would send you daily updates and pictures/videos if that is something you would like. Now that I am home more often and have some free-time I thought I would share the love and become a pet sitter myself.
I have fostered a disabled dog (in a wheel-chair), human fearing cat, and owned a dog with behavioural problems, so I am well-versed in multiple animal issues. I did agility training with my previous dog and rehabilitation training with the disabled foster. My love of animals has inspired me to take two different behavioural courses (one on cats and one on dogs) as well and reading multiple books on the subjects. Therefore I am confident that I am able to win over any animal no matter how timid.
Unfortunately, due to having two cats of my own I would not be able to host animals at my place. However I would gladly do home-stays if you wanted. I am happy to walk dogs and do multiple house visits where I would play, cuddle, feed, and generally just hang out with your fur-baby.
I am available late afternoon and evening to check in and/or take your fur-baby for a walk. I can adminster basic medication as needed if instructions are given. I can do basic training activites and basic grooming. If doing a home-stay I would stay the night at your place and time spent there during the day can be negotiated. I would also water plants, bring in and put out the trash, as well as any other basic task to keep your home running while you are away. I am happy to wash pet bowls and do any other task to keep your animals healthy and happy.
For house visits I would spend at least half an hour on each visit which would include play time, feeding, toileting, and whatever else you would requrie. Dog walks would be at least 20 minutes.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
