Hello Christchurch community!

I am a 22-year-old who has a great passion for animals. Located in Ilam, dog-friendly fields are abundant as well as in a quiet neighbourhood. First, a bit about myself, I currently work as a Senior Doggy Daycare Attendant and understand dog behaviour in a professional level. I have completed my studies in psychology at the University of Canterbury at the end of 2022 as-well. I have grown up around animals for most of my life and understand the diverse needs and requirements that they need to have a blast!

The services I am providing are dog boarding and walking. I have a large fenced backyard with heaps of space for your furry pet to run around. During dog boarding I will provide your pet with lots of love and attention during their stay. I will make your pet feel welcomed, safe and comfortable during their stay. In terms of dog walking, I am typically available most evenings and anytime during the weekend. My walks vary depending on your dog's needs, usually 1-6km.

I am motivated to be a pet sitter/walker as I have a great desire to care for animals and help parents who cannot walk their beloved pets because of commitments or health reasons. I enjoy going on walks, and looking after your pet would be the cherry on the cake. I have had a diverse experience looking after dogs in my community who are fit and healthy to elderly and disabled dogs who need extra care and support.

I regularly volunteer at the Christchurch SPCA in the canine unit. There, I have learnt valuable knowledge in the care for dogs, of all types.

My studies in psychology often use dogs as examples of cognitive theories, rewards and behavioural repertoires. This has given me a vast understanding of how dogs think and respond to rewards for positive behaviour. I have a car to travel to most areas in the Christchurch region.

Overall, I am a great communicator, flexible and reliable so feel free to let me know if your pet needs walking or a place to stay!
