I am a civil engineering student who also is studying a diploma in global humanitarian engineering at the University of Canterbury. I am caring and love being around animals! I have grown up on a sheep and beef farm in the Waikato and have 6 pet sheep (who still come when I call to eat some wheatbix or rice bubbles from me- their favourite!). My work with sheep and cattle has included mustering, drafting, drenching, docking, shearing and other duties of sheep breading, husbandry and animal welfare.

I have had experience looking after friends and colleagues' animals, for example, recently my friend's dog, a springer spaniel and looking after a young couple's two ragdoll kittens. In the past I have also had guinea pigs as pets, and pet goats! I just love being around animals in general, not having any pets in my flat during university is sad sometimes!

I have been offered an amazing internship over the summer from the 11th November - 20th December and my job hours are from 8:30am-5pm so I would get into a routine quickly fitting around animals, which I would be so so excited for. I am happy and willing to be a dog walker, cat sitter, feed, groom and spend time cuddling and getting to know my new friends!

While I petsit, a typical routine I would folllow would include morning walks before work with your pets, and giving my full attention to your pets after work within your home. I would be super excited and keen to play and give them exercise after work too, depending on what you think would be most suitable for your pet. I am very flexible, honest and easy to work with, so I would love to work with you to develop a routine around your pet with what you think would work best; you know your pets best!! I would of course also be feeding them, keeping them company, and giving them my love! I will treat both your pets and your property with respect and as if they were my own. I am happy to give daily updates to you with photos as well- I have great communication skills and I am uncertain about anything, I would never hesitate to get in contact with you.

I am available for dog walking and one-per-day house visits in within Ilam, Riccarton and Addington.

I am a very organised person- I am the head tenant for my flat of six people currently, sorting out all the bills, rosters and other administrative tasks. I am responsible- I have worked as the relief manager on a holiday park during peak season managing three staff, bookings, cashflow, check ins and cleaning. I am caring and have good initiative around animals, from growing up on a farm.
