Jenny

 Hello, 

I am Jenny, originally from the UK but have lived and worked in
Christchurch for just over 5 years and am a permanent resident. I grew up with
cats, dogs and pigs. I also helped my neighbours daily with their sheep,
chickens, ducks and horses during my teens so quite at home on a lifestyle
block, or in a city-based home. 

I have spent 18 months full time house sitting, I still do the occasional sit with my partner, Josh, who is a Kiwi and grew up on a lifestyle block, he has also sat for friends and looked after their dogs. Sitting is a great way to meet new people and explore new places and have those lovely moments with animals.  

While sitting we make sure the animals are cared for first, fed, watered,
cuddled, and walked if needed and any cleaning up of course. Walks would depend
on circumstances however they’d usually be around 20 minutes in the morning then
anything from 20- over an hour in the evening, or whatever is specified by you. 

In terms of caring for your home, we'll ensure it is secure, clean, and
tidy for your return (I appreciate returning to a clean home from a trip) and
wash bedding where possible when we leave.  

We haven't owned a pet for a while as it wouldn't have been fair with
moving abroad so this is a great way to have a pet in a caring and fair way,
and still get to go on walks, have cuddles and be woken for toilet time! 

If I have some spare time, I volunteer at an op shop which I've been
doing on and off since moving to NZ.  

I do work in the city as an operations manager/ designer and have a 2nd
job where I design residential joinery (kitchens, bathrooms etc.) I have two
fantastic boss' who allow me to be flexible (I work hard so am rewarded). I am
able to work from home if needed although I do travel a littl efor work form time to time.

Josh is a project manager who is very house proud and great with animals.

We are clean, tidy, respectful, responsible and a caring pet/ house
sitters.
